StreetSmart Australia is a Public Benevolent Institute that believes no one should be without a safe and secure place to call home. They raise funds, then seek out and support smaller grassroots organisations doing vital work in our communities. StreetSmart have provided a number of community grants towards Hope Street’s work with young people who are experiencing homelessness over recent years.

In 2019 they contributed towards the refurbishment of the bathrooms and toilets in Hope Street’s youth refuge in Brunswick West.  In 2020, Hope Street is participating in their SmartMeals partnership that connects homelessness services with local cafes. Thanks to SmartMeals, Hope Street is receiving 40 cooked meals per week from local café and social enterprise, home.one.
